At Leverage to Lead, we coach leaders AND we offer professional leadership development. What’s the difference?
Coaching is often a response to a challenge: a leader is in crisis or her team is. There’s conflict or turnover.
We help leaders sort through the situation, their feelings, their strengths, and their goals. We help uncover biases and disrupt them. We identify ways that our socialization is affecting our relationships and our decisions.
Leadership coaching is deeply supportive, especially in a crisis. We all need a coach sometimes.
Professional Development is less about addressing a problem and more about expanding your leadership.
You jump in because you’re assessing your strengths and gaps. You sign up because you’re curious about how you might enrich your perspective or challenge your approaches. You develop your leadership because you want to invest in yourself–in becoming the leader you want to be.
There are moments when we need to fix the now and moments when we need to prepare for the future.
Whether you work with one of our leadership coaches or sign up for one of our professional development programs, we’ll dig into Human-Centered Practices–the skills, tools, and practices that help us work together across our differences. These are essential for handling any crisis or growing as a leader.
Human-Centered Practices include deep listening, co-creating equity when you have more or less power in a relationship, exploring your emotions, pausing to align with your values before responding, and more.
How can we imagine a future without this?

The future may not be certain. But it will be human. Be human with us.
